Pure Innovation is a website design and build agency, producing high quality websites, mobile applications and large-scale web based platforms for a variety of clients.

The Business Challenge
Pure Innovation needed an improved solution to host its clients web projects, wanted a great deal of flexibility around their choice of platforms and environments, without the associated costs that traditionally accompany such flexibility. The client also needed to give a variety of 3rd parties access to the hosting environment and so required control of access at a granular level. Finally, the client also wanted to be able to easily migrate to an alternative hosting environment in the future if required.

The Centric Approach
We carried out an in-depth assessment of both current and future needs, how the client’s business works and their current development platforms. Further consultations with the client revealed that their technical competence meant that they did not need restrictions within their proposed hosting environment.

The Centric Solution
We implemented a hosting solution which combined the benefits of co-location and managed hosting, whilst also delivering reduced costs to the business. The client was given complete control of a resource pool within Centric’s VMware cluster, allowing them to allocate to virtual servers and change resource allocation as required. The solution also enabled private networks to allow VPN access to clients. Finally, the solution was designed to allow Pure Innovation to easily take copies of their virtual servers for potential future migration.

Results
Pure Innovation has achieved the optimum benefits from the hosting solution, with better manageability, increased flexibility and cost savings. The hybrid solution has delivered the flexibility of co-location hosting, such as flexibility and freedom, along with the benefits of managed hosting, such as monitoring, support and resilience. Alongside the considerable improvements in hosting provision, the client has also benefited from tangible cost savings.
